Trying it this way. Suited 3-4 might find some friends in the crib. |

Twelve points either way. Prefer suited 3-4 rather than 4-9 to my crib. |

This should be a 99% throw. |

Unless I was trying for the four of a kind progressive pool in our grass roots club this should be 99.99% choice. Diamonds by the way. If I had a big lead I might try a nine lead here I will do one of the threes. dec |

3-4, 3-9, 4-9? Another hand where we need our crystal ball to tell us what the cut card will be. Pitching 4-9 and keeping the 4-of-a-kind leaves you with max hand meld potential. Pitching 3-4 (suited) leaves you with a better crib and pegging hand. Pitching 3-9 is for the gamblers who saw the cut card. |

Toss (3 4) is better than Toss (4 9).

The parallel I see is between the sherry , the pancake batter and the way it's being Stirred. |

At 0*-0 playing a Defense strategy for the pegging the dynamic expected averages and Win/Loss 5s are:
________________Pone's Defense___Hand__Pegs____Crib_Total____W9 %____W10 % 3-3-3-9*___12.87+(-2.02)+4.50=15.35____49.7____61.1 3-3-3-3____13.48+(-2.37)+3.71=14.82____50.2____62.7 Defense_______L9 %____L10 % 3-3-3-9*_______25.1____15.9 3-3-3-3________23.2____14.5 * suited 3-4 3-3-3-9* is better for expected averages by 0.53pt. and although 3-3-3-3 is slightly better for Win %s and lower for Loss %s but as it's the very beginning of the game I'll select the 3D-4 to discard. After the 8 cut I'll play Defense to the lead. |

I will admit, being honest, because my club pays for 4 of a kind. If in a tournament, thrwo 3/4 to my crib (or in a tight game) |
